In list which Nigeria's President Muhammadu Buhari sent to the Senate on 20th July seeking for confirmation nominees of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) board Chairman and members was the name of the former Deputy Governor candidate of the APC in Cross River State in the 2015 general elections, Sylvester Effefiom Nsa.
Along other board members namely Donatus Enyinnah (Abia state), Frank Samuel George (Akwa Ibom state); Brambaifa Nelson (Bayelsa state); state); Ogaga Ifowodo (Delta state); Uwuilekhue Saturday (Edo state) and Osita Bonaventure Izunaso (Imo state), Mr Nsa of Cross River State's southern senatorial district has been nominated for a Commissioner representing the state in the board.
Meanwhile, yesterday the ruling PDP in the state through a mouthpiece in the person of the SA on Youth Mobilisation and Students Affairs to the Governor of the state, Michael Abuo, has derided the National Vice Chairman (South South) of the APC, Ntufam Hilliard Eta, for not forgetting Sylvester Nsa. In his words, 'I am so happy for him…congrats to him…very well deserving after all these years…Thanks to Hon Hiliard for not forgetting him…'. This jeering was made under a social media thread made by Kalita Aruku, state Deputy Youth Leader of the APC. The Special Assistant seemed to be jeering at the perceived inefficiency/ineffectiveness of Eta, probably making allusions to the hitherto non appointment of former gubernatorial candidate Odey Ochicha.
Congratulations Mr Sylvester Nsa. Do well to materialise the ideology of the APC to the average Nigerian.
