Bruno Onyemaechi, the 25-year-old Super Eagles defender, could be heading for a major move to Turkey, with reports emerging that Portuguese club Boavista has set a hefty price tag of €5-6 million (approximately ₦9.6 billion). Bruno Onyemaechi, who joined Boavista from Feirense in July 2023, has been a consistent performer since his arrival. In his first season with the Portuguese side, he contributed two goals and one assist in 33 appearances.
This season, despite Boavista’s struggles in the Primeira Liga, where they currently sit 17th, Onyemaechi has continued his fine form, scoring two goals and providing one assist in just 15 matches.

His impressive performances have caught the attention of Trabzonspor, with the Turkish club reportedly in serious talks to bring him to the Super Lig.
According to transfer insider Ekrem Konur, Trabzonspor sees Onyemaechi as a key addition to strengthen their squad for the second half of the season.

Despite Onyemaechi being valued at €3 million on Transfermarkt, the Portuguese club has reportedly set their asking price much higher, in the region of €5-6 million.
This could complicate negotiations, especially with Onyemaechi having just 18 months left on his contract with Boavista.
Trabzonspor, who won the Super Lig just three years ago, are currently in 13th place in the league and are eager to build a squad capable of challenging for the title again.
Onyemaechi could also be reunited with Nigerian striker Anthony Nwakaeme at Trabzonspor, a factor that may help ease his transition into the team.
