Bruno Fernandes has not ruled out a future move to Australia’s A-League.
The Manchester United captain, who joined from Sporting CP in 2020 for £68 million, is under contract until 2027.
The deal includes an option to extend for a further year.
In his five years at Old Trafford, Fernandes has made 264 appearances.
He has scored 87 goals and won the FA Cup and Carabao Cup.
He recently discussed his long-term future, inspired by Juan Mata’s experiences in Australia.

“He is really happy to be there (in Australia). He’s been only telling me good things,” Fernandes told Optus Sport.
“He’s someone that you can feel how happy he is in a place and I think at the moment Juan is that kind of person.”
Fernandes revealed that Mata regrets not moving to Australia earlier in his career.
“He’s been telling me he probably regrets not coming earlier in his career to Australia,” Fernandes said.
Mata has been sending Fernandes videos showcasing Australia’s sunny lifestyle and cultural benefits.
“After the videos that he sends me about the lifestyle, about playing golf, being on the beach, the stadium, all the fans.
“The conditions that he has at the club and everything, I could think about (playing in Australia),” Fernandes said.
“Obviously at Christmas time I was here with a lot of wind and cold.
“He was sending me videos of the sun and him living in front of the beach.
“It was beautiful.”
United’s financial instability under Sir Jim Ratcliffe has increased uncertainty for several players.
Among cost-cutting measures are 250 staff redundancies and potential sales of first-team players, including Alejandro Garnacho.
While Fernandes is a fans’ favourite, even he may face an uncertain future if the price is right.
Selling Fernandes would be deeply unpopular with fans amid Ruben Amorim’s ongoing challenges at Old Trafford.
