Ruben Amorim is reportedly open to joining Manchester United after Erik ten Hag was sacked earlier today.
United are in talks with Sporting Lisbon to finalise the deal and pay them his €10million release clause.
The 39-year-old refused to comment on this matter in an interview earlier today, but is currently in negotiations with the Red Devils.
Fellow Portuguese Bruno Fernandes holds the manager in high regard, praising his success at Sporting.

Earlier this month, the United captain had positive words about Ruben Amorim and his side.
‘Since Mister Amorim arrived at Sporting, it has been one of the teams to play the best football.
‘They have been consistent, the signings have been right, and they are in a very good moment. It’s a very well-prepared team,’ he said.
Sporting are first in the Primeira Liga and have won all nine of their games.
In this time, they have scored a staggering 30 goals while conceding just two.

During his four years with the Portuguese giants, Amorim has managed 237 games and won 170 – almost a 72% win rate.
Multiple reports have revealed that United will continue negotiations with him over the next few days.
Despite appointing Ruud van Nistelrooy as their interim manager today, the club are looking for a more experienced coach to employ on a permanent basis.
In the last 12 hours, Xavi, Julian Nagelsmann and Thomas Frank are just some of the names that have been mentioned as potential suitors.
However, all indications now suggest that Amorim will be the next man to take the helm at Old Trafford.
