For those that have been paying attention to the Capcom Pro Tour 2024 World Warrior Finals that have been unfolding for each region, Broski was recently able to qualify for Capcom Cup 11 with A.K.I. He was able to win the finals for United Kingdom and Ireland.
Though Broski isn’t the first player to qualify for Capcom Cup 11 using A.K.I. (that honor goes to Sole from the Oceania region), he is probably the most prominent A.K.I. user at the moment. It turns out that Broski has recorded and uploaded his gameplay footage from when he was competing during the Capcom Pro Tour 2024 World Warrior United Kingdom/Ireland Finals.
It’s generally been accepted that A.K.I. was one of the big winners of the Season 2 patch considering that she was seen as being weak in Season 1. However, it’s been difficult for the character to make meaningful results throughout 2024.
In a recent match up chart for A.K.I., Broski noted that the combatant had difficulties against Manon, Terry, Juri, Dee Jay, Guile, JP, Cammy, and most especially Akuma. Needless to say, Broski was prepared for some tough matches for this event.
Ultimately though, Broski found himself in the grand finals against Mouz|EndingWalker’s Ed. Some people might even go so far as to say that Ed is the best character in Street Fighter 6 right now, and he was being played by one of the best players for that character.
When it was all said and done, even Broski couldn’t believe that he managed to qualify for Capcom Cup 11. He had quite the reaction at the end of his video.
