Several characters in Street Fighter 6, given the right resources and circumstances, can “2-touch” their opponents. A 2-touch refers to a situation where a character can take their foe from a full health bar down to a KO with essentially two combos, which is a very powerful ability to have in this game.
Though many feel that the game’s latest DLC character, A.K.I., falls more into the low tier end of the tier list (with some pros putting her as bottom 1), this fighter does have the ability to 2-touch her opponents. Content creator and execution monster Broski has been one of the most prominent A.K.I. players since her release back in September of last year, and in one of his latest clips we see him pull off an outstanding 2-touch in a real match that is not only amazing to see, but also acts as quite possibly the best A.K.I. round we’ve ever seen.
This clip opens up at essentially the start of the final round between Broski and a Juri player online. Shortly after the action begins, Broski throws out one of A.K.I.’s poison bubble projectiles to try and get some pressure started.
The bubble comes from far enough away that Broski shoots in with a raw Drive Rush to attempt an overhead mix up. The fireball actually hits the opponent, though, which poisons Juri and allows the A.K.I. player to convert into a solid juggle combo that carries to the corner and allows Broski to set up a poison puddle on their wake up.
With the first combo, Broski’s opponent already ate about 35% damage, and with them now being cornered and poisoned they found themselves in a very scary position. And just like that, after a quick shimmy Broski baits his foe into throw teching and punishes with a hard-hitting standing heavy kick.
This punish counter allows A.K.I. to cancel right into her poison lunge attack, which does great damage and crumples a standing opponent when it makes contact with an already poisoned victim. Just like that, that’s all she wrote; Broski continues the sequence with optimal A.K.I. juggles, cancels into her level 3 super, and Juri is KO’d.
A character like A.K.I. is highly technical in Street Fighter 6, and this fighter is most effective when the circumstances line up just right for her. This is a perfect example of exactly that — coupled with Broski’s excellent execution — and the end result is one of the most perfect A.K.I. rounds possibly ever played.
