Broski goes full myth busters on clips depicting Street Fighter 6's balance changes to determine what's true and what's false

Capcom Cup X has been ongoing for a couple of weeks now. Those attending Capcom Cup X are being given the opportunity to try out a special build of Street Fighter 6 that has Ed playable prior to his release on February 27.

It turned out to be quite a surprise to the community to find out that this build of Street Fighter 6 has adjustments that tweaks the game’s balance. However, it’s common for there to be a placebo effect with regards to what’s changed in a patch in situations where we don’t have access to patch notes. This situation is apparently no different.

As such, Broski recently uploaded a video that has him myth busting all the reported adjustments. In other words, Broski determines which changes he thinks are real and which aren’t.

One big change for Zangief is that he’s now able to cancel his Overdrive Lariat into his level 3 Super Art and have the sequence actually combo together. Though some people believe that Zangief is now simply able to combo into his level 3 Super Art, Broski determines that this actually isn’t the case.

It would appear that Zangief’s Overdrive Lariat will now briefly crumple the opponent before launching them. This makes it so that Zangief’s command grab super is able to combo afterwards, albeit with huge scaling.

Although Ken and JP have seemingly been nerfed in the new build, the reports that Luke’s crouching medium punch has more recovery or an extended hurtbox appear to be false. Broski is able to replicate the clips that indicate a nerf for Luke in the current public build of Street Fighter 6, suggesting that Luke’s crouching medium punch will continue being the menace that it is.
