Victory Wilson, a multi-award winning broadcast journalist, event comperé, voiceover artist, communications specialist and author, has once again earned recognition for her exceptional contributions to the media and entrepreneurship space. At the recently concluded Global Entrepreneurship Festival held in Akure, she was presented with the prestigious Global Recognition Award for her outstanding impact on advancing global entrepreneurship development.
The award is a celebration of Victory’s remarkable achievements in fostering innovation and growth through her work. With over 20,000 hours of live television and radio broadcasting experience, she has carved a niche as a versatile media personality, international events host, and voiceover artist. Victory’s influence extends far beyond the media, as she uses her platform to educate, inform, and inspire individuals across diverse sectors.
Her academic credentials are as impressive as her career achievements. She holds a first-class degree in Psychology and a best overall graduating M.Sc. degree in Industrial Relations and Personnel Management from the University of Lagos. Adding to her accolades, she earned a Media Innovation degree from the School of Media and Communications, Pan-Atlantic University, and a certification in Communication from the University of Johannesburg, South Africa.
When asked about her experience at the recently concluded festival, she states, “I’m still in awe. For me, each day represents growth, exposure to innovation and resilience. I am particularly grateful for anchoring most of the panels and speeches. It was exciting.”
Her impact on the global stage is further amplified by her affiliations, including being a member of Forbes BLK and an MTN MIP Fellow. Victory’s book, Mastering the Art of Presentation, showcases her commitment to helping others excel in communication and public speaking.
In addition to her professional milestones, Victory is deeply invested in community development. She is the convener of The Amazing Kids Show Children’s Day Talent Fair, Nigeria’s largest children’s day talent showcase, which partners with major brands to nurture young talents. Her TV show, The Victory Wilson Show, addresses healing from trauma and navigating life’s difficulties that individuals experience in their daily lives, reflecting her dedication to creating meaningful change in people’s lives.
Victory’s accolades include the Broadcasting Organization of Nigeria’s TV Presenter of the Year award, the Media Personality award from Ladies in Media Organization, Ghana, recognition as one of Nigeria’s Top 100 Inspirational Women, amongst others.
Receiving the Global Recognition Award at the festival is yet another feather on her cap, reaffirming her role as a trailblazer in entrepreneurship and media innovation. In her acceptance speech, Victory expressed gratitude to her supporters and emphasized the importance of using her platform to empower others. “I am grateful for this award. It gives me reassurance that I am on the right path,” she concludes.
