Ruben Amorim will grasp at any positive he can find, during what has so far been a tough spell at Manchester United.
The January transfer window provides an opportunity to make amends.
With United’s financial situation uncertain, major signings are unlikely to happen.
That is, unless a key player is sold.
Alejandro Garnacho is one who is expected to leave United, with Napoli and Chelsea interested.

News of Julio Enciso joining Ipswich Town on loan came to light on Tuesday night.
The attacker who shined under Roberto De Zerbi, was also of interest to scouts at United.
That is according to Tuttomercatoweb, who report that United made a late attempt to snatch the attacker from Ipswich.
The Seagulls see Enciso as a future homegrown player, making Ipswich an ideal destination.
Kieran McKenna, Ipswich manager, personally convinced Enciso to join his project over other clubs.
However, reports suggest United held last-minute talks to sign the Paraguayan as a Garnacho replacement.
The revelation was confirmed by journalist Christian Martin on Paraguay’s Versus program.

“What I can tell you is that at the last minute of yesterday’s day, a call from United arrived,” he said.
Martin added, “United wanted Julio to be potentially the replacement in case Garnacho goes to Napoli.”
The Garnacho situation has created uncertainty, with Napoli and others expressing serious interest.
Enciso was identified as a solution, but the late timing made completing a deal impossible for United.
Despite this, Enciso is set to link up with McKenna at Ipswich and continue his development in England.

Brighton’s long-term plan for him remains intact, as he becomes eligible as a homegrown player next year.
For United, Garnacho’s future remains unresolved amid reported tensions with coach Ruben Amorim.
“Garnacho has had a problem with Amorim,” Martin said, further fueling speculation of a potential exit.
The young Argentine’s frustrations have reportedly opened the door to discussions with several clubs.
Enciso’s failed move highlights United’s struggles to secure contingency plans in a turbulent window.
It also underlines the club’s uncertain standing with rising stars like Garnacho facing potential exits.
For now, Enciso will continue his progress under McKenna, with Brighton closely monitoring his growth.
