On Saturday 19th October, Manchester United return to Premier League action when they host Brentford at Old Trafford.
Erik ten Hag desperately needs to show that the club’s executives made the right decision to stand by him for a second time, and a win over Brentford would certainly be a step in the right direction.
However, unfortunately for ten Hag, he’s without his full line-up with several of his first choices out injured.
Whilst Alejandro Garnacho, Amad Diallo and Noussair Mazraoui have returned to training following injury, Kobbie Mainoo and Harry Maguire have been confirmed as out of action for several weeks to come.
Alongside the English pair who join Tyrell Malacia, Luke Shaw and Leny Yoro on the injury list, Mason Mount is also still in recovery so will not be making an appearance on the weekend.

However, Brentford manager Thomas Frank has now revealed an update on their extensive injury list ahead of their trip to Manchester.
Brentford manager Thomas Frank discusses his injured stars
Over the summer Thomas Frank was one of the repeated names linked to replace Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford if the club decided a new manager was needed.
Ultimately Sir Jim Ratcliffe sided with ten Hag and Frank remained at Brentford, with the Bees currently sitting in 11th place, three places higher than United.
Speaking ahead of Brentford’s match-up with United, Frank said: “Everyone who was available for the last game is available for this one as well. Touch wood, everyone is fit and healthy.”
He continued: “Wissa is training on the grass with the team which is positive. I need to find out if he is ready for Saturday or if it is too soon.”
It’s also been announced that midfielders Christian Nørgaard and Mikkel Damsgaard are deemed fit enough to face United, with Mathias Jensen and Igor Thiago still ruled out.
When discussing Jensen and Thiago, Frank commented: “Both of them had minor issues,”
He continued: “We could’ve pushed them through the international games but then problems might’ve come down the line.
“Mathi [Jensen] is training very well and training with the team. It’s just too soon to risk him but it’s looking very positive for Ipswich.
“Igor is a big character in a positive way. It’s still a bit early for him to be involved.”
Frank also announced that Rico Henry has stepped up his rehabilitation after suffering from a long-term knee injury, however is still unlikely to face United this weekend.
