Breaking News: Community Youths Arrest A Kidnapper In Calabar

As water levels otherwise called tides rises, kidnappers in the creeks are having a hard time battling with it.

This natural phenomenon has also helped the government to combat crime. One of the kidnapper that escaped arrest yesterday was stucked in a chest high mud that held him captive throughout the night.

As community fisher men around the riverine areas in Calabar South prepared to go fishing this morning, they met a man tucked inside heavy mud. It was there they alerted the police. The man was then rescued and taken to the Atakpkpa Police Station.

Right now, the kidnapper is cooling in the cell at Atakpkpa Station pending when he would be paraded tomorrow morning.

The name of the kidnapper according to my sources on the ground is Effiom from Cross River State.

Meanwhile, government machinery has been put in place to arrest Ifere Paul for kidnapping and robbery. A press release issued to press men today by the Attorney General of the State has confirmed that to be true. Ifere has however issued his own press release, and will by tomorrow, alongside other APC National Executive members issue and official statement that will be signed and documented by the National Leadership.

I enjoined all my supporters to remain calm as the events unfold. I cannot be cowed. It is my right to share information. And if government cannot equate my efficiency of information gathering, they should come for training other than intimidating me.
