The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Mr Peter Akpanke of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) winner of the Obudu/Bekwara/Obanliku Federal Constituency election.
Announcing the results Sunday night, the Returning Officer, Calistus Ubleble, declared the PDP candidate as winner of the election having polled the highest number of lawful votes cast.
The PDP candidate polled a total of 36,576 votes to defeat his closest rival and the incumbent member representing the federal constituency, Rt. Hon. Legor Idagbo of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who polled a total of 25,819 votes.
