The results of late Nurse Maria-Theres Offiong of the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital, UCTH who died yesterday after a spasm of uncontrolled coughs and respiratory complications has turned out negative for the dreaded Coronavirus Disease 2019, Covid-19 NEGROIDHAVEN can say authoritatively.
Sources close to the ministry of health are seen to have published this information on their pages. Their thread go thus: ‘Result of the Nurse who died at the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital is NEGATIVE. NCDC confirm result.’ Less than 30 minutes ago, the state Commissioner for Health posted on her social media account: ‘You are God from beginning to the End there is no place for argument!!!!’, a statement arguably celebrating the results.
On the suspicion of the likely certainty of the infection of the Coronavirus, residents doctors of UCTH were reported to have secretly isolated themselves due to suspected exposure to Matron Offiong.
According to sources, nurse Offiong who is 54 years old, CNO in O&G of the UCTH, died while on isolation.
This development is coming less than a week the NCDC declared Cross River State Covid-19 free.
