Gerry Turner, the Golden Bachelor, wasn’t the only one with wedding bells ringing. He wasn’t alone in his plans to walk down the aisle during his wedding special.
Just before the 72-year-old was set to exchange vows with Theresa Nist on live TV, something unexpected happened. Brayden Bowers, a fellow Bachelor Nation star, decided to steal some of the limelight.
During the televised cocktail hour of the nuptials, Brayden and Christina Mandrell had a chat with host Jesse Palmer. They talked about their upcoming move to Tennessee. But then, Brayden dropped a bombshell.
Brayden decided to take their relationship to the next level. He got down on one knee and proposed to Christina. “For the first time in my life, I feel like I’ve found someone I can be myself with unapologetically,” he confessed to Christina. He added, “Like Gerry said, we have such little time.”
He didn’t stop there. “I know I want to spend the rest of my life with you,” he continued.
Before Brayden, the Bachelor in Paradise alum, could even finish his proposal, Christina said yes. She sealed her acceptance with a kiss.
“Put it on me!” she joked about her Neil Lane engagement ring. Then she teased her new fiancé. “This is why we got our nails done?” she quipped.
