Branch Manager

Job Functions:

Branch Profit

  • Ensure management of the dashboard.
  • Ensure vehicles are marked received onsite and stocked in within 24hrs.
  • Oversee vehicle statuses are updated on the system timeously.
  • Oversee all auction checks are done including quality 360 pics, vehicle starters, descriptions, vehicle codes and year models.
  • Ensure auction prep list is up to date.
  • Ensure efficient management of age stock age analysis.
  • Ensure staff are following the correct auction and insurance release processes.
  • Daily management of the branch Auction packing Vehicle coding.

Control Operating costs to achieve/exceed budget

  • Ensure damage on vehicles kept is minimised through strict management of employees who cause extra damage.
  • Ensure negligence and theft in yards is kept to a minimum through controlling adherence to policies and procedures

Internal controls to deliver efficient processes and systems

  • Identify opportunities and recommend improvements to processes, advertising and systems.
  • Ensure that supplier and insurance Companies queries are addressed and resolved timeously.
  • Ensure queries are resolved timeously.
  • Escalate unresolved queries and complaints to Management.
  • Ensure administration processes are carried out according to Company standards and suggest improvements where appropriate.
  • Ensure stock takes are conducted bi-weekly and provide feedback on the recon and sign off on queries.

Management and development of Human Resources

  • With assistance from HR, recruit competent, high-performance staff.
  • Staff Management- IR/Leave etc
  • Contribute to developing an enabling culture, and high staff retention through mentoring.
  • Drive performance management throughout the year.
  • Provide training and development to ensure succession.
  • Conduct annual performance appraisals.

Job Requirements:

  • 3 years at management level in the motor|salvage industry
  • Matric
  • Tertiary qualification ideal
