Blanka’s level 2 super art in Street Fighter 6, Lightning Beast, is an install super that effectively functions as a V-Trigger from Street Fighter 5. It’s often said that this level 2 super art is one of the best supers in the game.
Recently, it was showcased how Blanka can actually reliable KO an opponent from just two openings, with the first cancelling into Lightning Beast. With the first opening, it’s very easy to get the opponent into the corner with a Blanka-chan doll primed for a particularly nasty setup.
The second part of the sequence starts with Blanka standing in throw range as the opponent gets up. By baiting a throw like this, their fate is sealed by a jump back into an Overdrive Aerial Rolling Attack special.
If the setup hits the opponent, Blanka will be able to cash in his remaining one bar of super meter to fully deplete the opponent’s health. Even if it doesn’t hit though, Blanka will be at frame advantage with a Blanka-chan charged.
Ultimately, there’s still another mix up that must be blocked to survive this situation. Objectively, it’s a pretty powerful setup that’s naturally going to cause players to panic if they’ve never seen all of this unfold before.
A few clips have been released that really demonstrate the power of this two-opening sequence.

In response, HiFight, a Street Fighter analyst and Blanka main himself, released his own clip to help the community better understand everything to lookout for, either as the Blanka user or the opponent in this situation.

Upon seeing these clips, it would seem that some players have opted to create memes of this situation. “Just block, man,” supposedly says the Blanka players in this meme.
While some Blanka users are defending the character’s design and level 2 super art in Street Fighter 6, I don’t believe any of them are actually saying to “just block” in this situation. Of course, it would appear that this is simply being added for comedic effect.
Following this, the meme creators would indicate what the “mix up in question” is, paired with a clip of an even more ridiculous situation than what we see in Street Fighter 6. These range from a hacked version of Street Fighter 4, a laggy match against a Blanka in Street Fighter 5 in which rollback is constantly rolling back frames, and to a Dragon Ball Z game in which Piccolo is able to effectively win off of a single knockdown.
From an outsider’s perspective, there’s definitely this sense that there are those in the community that are hoping that Capcom will somehow respond to Blanka’s shenanigans by applying a nerf in the Season 2 update while the Blanka players are trying to prevent this outcome. Regardless, the memes themselves all come off as being pretty hilarious.
