Having undergone a successful surgery in the U.S. more than two weeks, the Bishop of Corinth of the Orthodox Church of Greece was discharged from the hospital on Tuesday, October 15.
The Metropolis of Corinth announced about its hierarch Metropolitan Dionysios:
The surgical operation he underwent was successful according to the attending physicians, and his entire post-operative course in the Hospital progressed excellently. However, he will need to remain for a short time longer at the home of his brother’s daughter, who is a permanent resident of the U.S.A. and where he is being hosted, for a routine re-examination by his surgeon. We expect him to soon resume his many responsible duties in our Apostolic Holy Metropolis.
Our Most Reverend Metropolitan feels the need to express his immense gratitude, warmly thanking all the Corinthians, as well as everyone who demonstrated their love and support for him in every way during this difficult moment in his life. He prays with all the strength of his soul that Christ, the Savior of us all, and our protector Apostle Paul, will return their prayers, support, and love many times over!
An All-Night Vigil was held in the St. Paul Cathedral in Corinth on September 26 to pray for Met. Dionysios on the eve of his surgery.
