It was one unusual morning during the sunrise hour of the day when a corper serving in Gboko High School, Gboko LGA of Benue State walked in to see a mighty snake in a closet of their detached bathroom. The snake whose species name is still unknown was killed by numerous neighbours that stays behind the school environment.
One of our correspondent covering the scene was told by one of the corper serving in the school that it’s their third time seeing such dangerous animal in the compound, others being scorpions inside their rooms and aside from a teacher’s dogs that chase people around in the school quarters. He added.
Findings by our correspondent recorded that the Corpers were given a Lodge of about 4 rooms, whilst others stays at the strays of the school gate. The Corpers also complained of not been treated well by the school administration and neighbouring staff in the quarters including their deprivation of electricity. Only few treats them well, and those are the people staying outside the school compound who has nothing to do with the school.
But, it’s still absurd for a snake to be found in such a dry environment without green and fresh grasses. The hassle is what the Corpers calls inevitable and fearful.
