The Street Fighter 6 closed beta test is scheduled to take place this weekend through October 7 to October 10. Players will be able to play as Ryu, Luke, Chun-Li, Jamie, Guile, Juri, Kimberly, and Ken throughout the closed beta test.

Earlier today, it was announced that the closed beta selection will be happening tonight at 8:00 p.m. PT / 11:00 p.m. ET. Considering that this is a “closed beta test,” it likely means that those that don’t receive an email by tonight won’t be getting in during this particular test period.

Although Capcom has been allowing players to try the Street Fighter 6 beta for the first time at multiple events, this test will be a very important one as it will be the community’s first opportunity to check out the stability of the fighting game’s online functionality.

Back in June of this year, it was revealed by Capcom Director Takayuki Nakayama that Street Fighter 6’s rollback netcode is being rebuilt from scratch. This means that there’s at least a decent possibility that fans that may have had gripes with Street Fighter 5’s rollback netcode may be pleasantly surprised with improvements to Street Fighter 6’s netcode.

As of right now, the only thing known about Street Fighter 6’s release window is that it will happen sometime in 2023. More than likely, Capcom will want to perform an open beta test before that release window that is more inclusive for the purpose of stress testing their servers.

Street Fighter fans will want to keep their fingers crossed as they check you emails tonight at 8:00 p.m. PT / 11:00 p.m. ET.
