Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, has turned into a pastor as he today assured the people of his state that he would get help from God to do the things that were humanly impossible.
Ortom who spoke while attending a wedding ceremony in Makurdi earlier today said God had intervened several times in his life and helped him to overcome challenges stressing that he was confident that he would receive divine help to surmount current obstacles in the state.
According to benue.com.ng, He said the challenges he needed divine intervention to overcome included insecurity and payment of salaries and called on the people of the state to join him in turning wholeheartedly to God.
According to him the initiative to dedicate the state to God had serious spiritual implications which will eventually manifest in the physical realm by enabling his administration to triumph over problems.
He reiterated his call to the people to return to the farms as a viable strategy to diversify the nation’s economy since the state had comparative advantage in the agriculture sector.
