Ben Ayade FC in trouble, stands risk of being walked over

11 June 2019
Ben Ayade Football Club of Calabar, stands the risk of being walked over at home by the visiting Kofine Football Club of Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom as it has no venue to host the Nigeria National League (NNL) match scheduled for this week our correspondent has garnered.
This is because the podium which was erected for the Inauguration of Governor Ben Ayade on the main bowl of the U. J. Esuene Stadium is yet to be dismantled several days after the Swearing In of the Governor and his Deputy on the 29th of May, 2019.
The Calabar based outfit also stands the risk of being sanctioned by the League Management Board for failing to adhere to the statutes of allowing the visiting team to have the mandatory work-out on the venue of the match.
Also, it will worsen its woes of not only forfeiting three valuable points and three valuable goals to the visitors but, frustrate its chances of either promotion to the elite cadre of the competition nor retaining the slot into the approaching season.
When contacted, the Special Assistant to the Governor on events Management Mr. Ken Aklah complained of lack of funds to enable him to mobilize for the dismantling of the structure.
