Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising is churning out yet another DLC character in the very near future as CyGames has released the gameplay trailer for Beatrix.
She packs some powerful hits with her massive Embrasque sword, and seems to garner enhanced abilities via arcane powers when she’s in dire situations.
The character doesn’t seem to be the fastest, but she does have a lot of maneuverability that should help her land the big hits that lop of huge chunks of health bars at a time.
Early reactions to the trailer see a surprising amount of fans comparing her moves and movements to the likes of Sol Badguy from Guilty Gear Strive, which might mean she winds up being a top tier fighter if she follows closely in his footsteps.
Beatrix’s official release date is now set for Thursday, May 23. You’ll be able to nab her for $7.99 standalone or as part of Character Pass 1 for $35, and going this route grants access to a total of six DLC characters including Lucilius, 2B, Vane, Beatrix, and two unnamed others.
