After signing Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui from Bayern Munich this summer, Manchester United are once more turning to the German giants, with interest in three of their stars.
With two centre-backs, a right-back, a striker and a centre-midfielder signed in the last transfer window, United are now looking to reinforce other areas of the pitch in January.
The three men in question are left-back Alphonso Davies, midfielder Leon Goretzka and winger Leroy Sane.
Davies comes into the fray with Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia both still out injured, leaving United without a natural left-back. This situation was made even more of a concern by Noussair Mazraoui’s recent health problems causing an issue for ten Hag as to whether Diogo Dalot comes back onto the right or mains covering on the left.
Next up is Leon Goretzka, with Kobbie Mainoo and Mason Mount both injured and a replacement for Christian Eriksen being needed come the end of the season, Goretzka offers United a great opportunity.

Finally is Leroy Sane, with the winger being a potential free transfer come January if the current contract negotiations fall through.
However, one of the three stars has now come out to say they would be open to joining United.
Leon Goretzka is open to joining Manchester United
Leon Goretzka has been reported by Christian Falk as being open to joining United next year.
The midfielder is reportedly unhappy at Bayern and if things don’t change, will be looking to move at the end of the season.
Goretzka wants to see out the rest of the current campaign with the club, but come summer will be entering the final year of his contract, making it even more likely that Bayern will be looking to complete a transfer for him.
However, the report explains that a big factor of a potential move would revolve around who the manager at Old Trafford is at the time.
It’s unknown whether this is a vote of confidence for ten Hag, hoping he will still be in the role next summer, or if ten Hag’s presence would put the midfielder off moving to Manchester.
