As Spanish publication Fichajes would have it, Barcelona would seriously consider Manchester United’s bid for Raphina as they desperately need to make some sales to generate revenue.

“It appears the Red Devils are willing to shell out a sizeable sum, at least €60 million, for the player, viewing him as a viable option to fill a potential void in their forward line, especially if star Marcus Rashford decides to depart,” reads the report.

This is in reference to the doubts surrounding Rashford’s future especially after the season he is having.

The report also goes ahead to suggest that Raphinha, 27, may now be open to trying out the Premier League again after his 2 seasons at Leeds United.

“Despite his recent good performance with Barcelona, Raphinha could be tempted to seek new horizons, especially at a time when his future at the club could be compromised due to financial reasons. Although he initially did not seem interested in leaving the Camp Nou, interest from Manchester United and other Premier League clubs could change his outlook,” it concludes.

The Brazilian has been enjoying a fine season often being Barca’s main source of creativity on the flanks.

His enterprise has been rewarded with 9 goals and 12 assists in all competitions. 21 G/A from the wings is a pretty decent return.

The Catalan giants have been struggling to recover from a financial mess from the days of former president Bartomeu and are desperate to raise revenue which means some of its key players may end up in the market.

Should Raphinha be one of said players, United will definitely be interested as they seek to bolster their attack under this new regime.
