Following his recent statements that he was waiting for the end of the season and Euros to decide his future, Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has reportedly garnered attention from Catalan giants Barcelona.
Speaking to DAZN Portugal just a few days ago, Bruno made it clear that if he was to think about leaving the club, it would have to be after the FA Cup final and the Euros.
“I’m not thinking too much about the future, not least because, obviously, this season hasn’t been at the level I’d hoped for, either individually or collectively, so far,”Bruno stated.
“So , if you want me to be very honest, if I have to think about not continuing in the Premier League, it won’t be until after the Euros because nothing will be able to take my focus away from the FA Cup final and the Euros, as there’s nothing more important than that at the moment,” he commented on his future.
The Portuguese wizard has been among the very few positives this season and his continued availability and output remains next to none in a very underwhelming United side.
It goes without say that were he available, he would have no shortage of suitors as he is an exceptional, exceptional footballer.
As cited by Football365, Spanish publication El Nacional report that Bruno’s agent Jorge Mendes, who is close to Barca president Joan Laporta, has reportedly offered Bruno to Barcelona.
The report alleges that the Spanish giants have made contact to understand how much this operation would cost them if they were to make a move.
Bruno is the heart and soul of Manchester United and it is unlikely he will leave The Theatre of Dreams.
The midfielder is currently valuled by Transfermarkt at £60m which is quite hefty especially considering all the financial and economic troubles Barca are currently struggling to recover from.
