Status: It’s over.
In the 2021 finale of The Bachelorette’s 17th season, Katie and Blake Moynes decided to tie the knot. It was during their overnight date, filled with paintball fun and cowboy tub relaxation, that they first confessed their love. Oh, and let’s not forget their heart-to-heart under the starry sky.
Blake got down on one knee, all romantic-like. He said to Katie, “You deserve the world, and I’m excited to support you and be there for you every day moving forward.” Sweet, right?
But then, three months after the proposal aired, they called it quits. They both released matching statements, which is kinda cute in a sad way. They said, “We are so grateful for the moments we shared together and the entire journey that has unfolded this year, but we ultimately have concluded that we are not compatible as life partners, and it is the most caring choice for both of us to move forward independently.”
So, yeah. They’re grateful for the journey, but they’ve decided to go their separate ways. It’s a bummer, but it seems like the best choice for both of them.
