The Special Assistants to the Governor of Cross River State His Excellency, Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade KSJi under the aegis Special Assistants Network – SAN have said that the Ayade’s administration is the birth of a new order in the political climate of the State.
In a statement signed under the seal of the forum’s Chairman, Mr. Effiom ‘Trombone’ and unanimously vetted with a Vote of Confidence passed by all aides from different endeavors on the Governor on Monday 11th January, 2021 at the Millennium Park, Calabar, reads; Ayade leads a new generation order.
This was made evident after a brief session with Special Assistants who shared their political ordeals from time past and how difficult the system had being to accommodate fresh and young minds, stating that Governor Ben Ayade had offered himself as the liberator for the young people.
“It has never been heard or seen in our political system where someone of my age would be appointed as Special Assistant but under Ayade, it is has been made possible.
Some persons still find it difficult to address me as an SA because of my age but it cannot change what it is because regardless of our age, we have the credibility to deliver on our different endeavors”, a Special Assistant on Media to the Office of the Wife of the Governor, Miss Beyin Adie said.
On his part, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Strategic Communication, Mr. Andrea Ekeng posited that “gone are the days when we would be asking when we would actually become that leaders of tomorrow with a lead responsibility as we are already living the dream that is not possible in most States across the country and Governor Ayade made it happened.
“We are living in the future already”
Also speaking, the Special Assistant on Security, Mr. Cyril Omini encouraged special assistants to integrate fully into the politics of the ward, leveraging on their offices, where their political strength to sustain the momentum will be built.
Other aides who spoke in reiteration to the point said the new order is an order that should be guarded jealously against all odds.
“Gone are the days when people will come and tell us, Oga said and deceive the people into acting their selfish scripts. The social integration initiative of our principal is the best political strategy ever”, Ogon Abang, a Special Assistant on Student’s Affairs said.
Others who spoke were, Mr. Hycent Okwaye, Special Assistant Equal Opportunity, Barr. Ijom Ukam, Special Assistant, Justice, Mr. Dunamis Archibong, SA Inter Party South, Mr. Ekeng Edet, SA Community Matters, Mr. Steve Umoh, SA Anti-Cultism and Kidnapping, Sir Clay Ekpong, SA Legislative Affairs and a host of others.
Summarily, the Chairman of the Forum and Special Assistant on Entertainment, Mr Effiom ‘Trombone’ Bassey urged his colleagues to remain steadfast in their call to service and with the consciousness that the preying eyes of the public is on them with most antagonist lurking for flaws to perch on to discredit the administration.
“We cannot afford to behave in a manner that will bring the administration of Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade into disrepute because this is a rare opportunity for us to live out our best and perform effectively to dose the negative expectations of the growing circles of critics”
“This is a new order and we have come to stay to drive the legacies of our principal even after his administration”, he added.
