By Timothy Adah, Obudu

The governor of Cross River State, Sen. Ben Ayade, has ordered that Obudu Ranch Resort also known as Obudu Mountain Resort, be revamped and rebranded immediately.

PARADISE NEWS learnt that Ayade gave the order shortly after he arrived the state from overseas, as he promised to complete the first phase of renovations to host guest round the world in November/December – during the festive period.

Our Correspondent learnt that an Administrative inspection team led by the Senior Special Assistant on Obudu Cattle Ranch, Joseph Edet (La Shakara), Senior Special Assistant on Event/Tourism, Noel Ogbong and Special Assistant on Strategic Communications, Andrea Ekeng Inyang, were on site on Monday for preliminary assessments.

Recalled that the Ranch, an idea conceived by former Governor Donald Duke, has been left to die and at some point being used by locals to cultivate crops. It got so bad that the immediate past governor of the state, Sen. Liyel Imoke got stuck in the Cable car due to faults and lack of maintenance.
