CROSS Riverians are beginning to feel the impact of a health oriented Governor . “We will cross rivers, we will skip mountains, we will trek across forest to deliver health services to our people where they live because AYADE CARE” – Dr Betta Edu.

As the world celebrated WORLD HEALTH DAY yesterday April 7th, 2017, the Director General of Cross River State Primary Healthcare Development Agency (CRSPHCDA), Dr Betta Edu said “her priority is to engage every community with efficient and effective health care delivery until every Cross Riverian have access to health services”. She stated this at the flags off of operation reach all hard to reach areas with AYADE CARE at Etono community in Biase LGA of CRS.

Addressing the people before the commencement of the outreach, Dr. Edu said AYADE CARE is an excellent initiative of His Excellency, Governor Ben Ayade aim at actualizing a healthy Cross River state and bettering the lives of the people through effective health care services. She further added that there is no going back on the operation as our voices must be stronger, louder and sharper in ensuring the campaign against disease is achieved. With AYADE CARE, we are waging war against diseases like diarrhea, malaria, measles, laser fever, cerebrospinal meningitis etc, we will not allow disease of any sort to mock our people anymore.

It should be worthy of note, that with the AYADE CARE and the operation hard to reach areas, the faith and hope of cross riverians who do not have the means to get health services are strengthened. This is a hope for the hopeless.

Also Speaking, Acting Director Community Health/ Manager State Malaria Elimination Program, Dr Asuquo Ekwe said Our Governor, His Excellency, Prof Ben Ayade is very passionate about your well being, that is why he specifically supported this exercise in hard to reach areas of the State. Today we are here with our able DG Dr. Betta Edu who is driving the process, believe me after this exercise thousands of our children will be immunize against dangerous diseases, a lot of outbreaks will be curtail and our women will receive adequate healthcare services. Continue supporting this administration as we will keep on delivering efficient and effective healthcare to all.

Answering questions file in by the media at the close of the outreach, Dr. Edu said, “What we needed most urgently was to start the Operation hard to reach areas, I am happy it has been launched today, the result is fantastic, we have dewormed 20,000 school children. Given 34,750 children vitamin A supplementation, distributed free long lasting insecticide treated net in all villages around Etono in biase CRS. Tested and administered treatment for malaria, given health talks, distributed food stuff etc. We will not compromise on efficient health care delivery in hard to reach area. If you live in one; you are next!!!

“AYADE CARE, we are dreaming the impossible and making it possible” DG CRSPHCDA.
