Release: Ayade Job Festival and Entrepreneurship Summit 2019
The Cross River State Governor, Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade in further commitment to his vision of creating jobs and growing entrepreneurship in the state has unveiled the 1st Ayade Job Festival (Fair) and Entrepreneurship Summit billed to hold at the prestigious, state of the art Calabar Intetnational Convention Center CICC on the 30th of January, 2019.
In a statement by the SSA Job Placement And Entrepreneurship to the Governor, Mr. Joseph Edet, he said the Ayade Job Festival (Fair) And Entrepreneurship Summit is conceived to create a platform for stakeholders to engage towards unlocking the opportunities that abound interms of job placement and entrepreneurship in the Cross River State for the benefit of its people.
He listed the stakeholders will include job seekers, job providers, organized private sector, the academia, policy makers including the legislature and the executive, the civil society and many others.
The SSA added that the Fair will create the opportunity to leverage on the industrialization drive of the governor by placing youth in jobs while also providing grants for young entrepreneurs from across the state to start and grow micro, small and medium enterprises MSME.
The programme is poised to reduce unemployment, eradicate poverty, as well as address the issue of capacity and manpower development.
Our team was able to confirm that over five hundred Cross Riverians will get job placement, over one hundred people will get grants to start and grow their micro, small and medium enterprises, MSME, and over one hundred entrepreneurs will be supported to register their businesses with the Corporate Affairs Commission.
The post event benefits also include internship for one hundred out of job youth, entrepreneurship development training for one hundred young people, employability training for one hundred job seekers as well as creating a dependable database of unemployed citizens in the state where job opportunities locally, nationally and globally will be shared regularlly.
He concluded by saying all these opportunities can be accessed by visiting the website www.crsjobenterprise.org Physical forms will also be made available in every local government area in the state.
The event package will include plenary, featuring presentations by a crack team of seasoned resource persons and subject experts, panel discussions, breakout as well as interactive questions and answers sessions. The Ayade Job Festival (Fair) And Entrepreneurship Summit will be declared open by the Governor of Cross River State, Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade who will also deliver a keynote address.
