Sen. John Owan-Enoh the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Cross River State, has taunted the Executive Governor of the state and PDP gubernatorial candidate, Prof Ben Ayade, according to him, Ayade has made campaigning in his Obudu home town very easy for him.
The APC guber hopeful disclosed this while addressing a mammoth crowd who came to recieve him on Monday in Obudu, the local government of the incumbent after a brief town hall meeting with the traditional leaders of Obudu Local Government Area.
He employed the opportunity to inform the people of Obudu that he does not hate Ayade, that he wouldn't have contested for the gubernatorial race if the incumbent government had lived up-to expectations.
Owan-Enoh also observed that a governor should not deceive his people, rather he should love them. He promised to complete the recently initiated projects in the local government area borne out of a perceived election frenzy.
His words: 'Ordinarily coming to campaign in Obudu would have been the most difficult thing. If am governor of Cross River State for one year, for two years, for three years and then for four years. And then election comes, my opponent will not be able to campaign in my local government area, because what I will do in that local government and across the state will make it impossible for anybody to campaign.
'Our brother and my friend has made campaigning in Obudu very easy. You see all these little projects going on in Obudu, I am the one who is going to complete them.
'I have seen some little works going on as a governor you don't need to decieve your people. When you where elected, governor of the state with monthly allocation and you wait for few months before the elections and you come and deceive your people with little projects. You don't deceive your people, you love them.
'If, God forbid, Ayade wins his second term bid, he will still not complete these little projects, so why don't you vote for John Owan Enoh that you know will talk and do you' . He concluded
