The third season of Guilty Gear Strive is going in harder than any previous with its introduction of new mechanics and things to do in matches, and they aren’t done yet.
For the finals at Fighters Spirit 2023, Arc System Works revealed the second new special move coming to Strive in the next update.
Next in line to receive a new toy is none other than Axl Low, and he’s apparently taken a few pages out of the book of Rashid in Street Fighter 6.
We don’t really have an official English name for the move yet, but the dude can summon a big tornado in front of him.
Axl appears to have both a fast and charged up version of the move with the normal one being useful for juggling airborne opponents in combos for extra hits.
Meanwhile, the charged version of the tornado lasts longer and is shown used for meaty pressure or as a shield that he can move behind.
He joins Potemkin with his Heat Tackle as the two characters receiving new moves in the next update after I-No, May, Ramlethal, Zato-1, Anji, Giovanna, and Faust got theirs at the start of Season 3.
The patch is supposed to drop sometime in December alongside the second DLC character of the pass, who hasn’t been announced yet, though probably will be quite soon.
