The Cross River State Commissioner for Aviation, Rt. Hon. Jake Otu Enyia has reiterated Gov Ben Ayade’s resolve and determination to develop a passenger/ cargo Airport of International standard at Obudu in Cross River State.
The Commissioner stated this at a meeting with Investors in his office in Calabar.
Dr. Enyia maintained that preliminary works for the project such as; feasibility studies, Engineering design, Land Acquisition as well as clearing and leveling of site have all been completed, adding that the government is now in search of reputable and competent Investors to partner with in the area of civil works and other necessary facilities.
Earlier, Engr. Marshall Anako, President, Madako Investment Ltd who was representing Incarnate Holdings Ltd, a multi- national Investment company registered the willingness and readiness of the company to partner with the State Government in the Obudu Airport project, assuring the Commissioner that his company has the capacity and technological proficiency to execute the project in a couple of months as soon as the Memorandum of Understanding is signed, adding that the company is willing to accommodate all parties/stake holders involved in the project.
