    Manchester United’s nightmare season has highlighted one problem more than any other – the severe lack of goals.

    The Red Devils have only managed to score 38 times in the Premier League so far.

    A struggle, which has underlined their desperate need for a reliable forward.

    Rasmus Hojlund has struggled badly, with his form dipping to the point that staff at Old Trafford have begun to lose faith in his long-term potential.

    With the club’s attacking issues so clear, it’s no surprise that United were linked to fresh attacking options during the January transfer window.

    One name that was firmly on the radar was Chelsea forward Christopher Nkunku.

    Talks were held of a possible swap deal that could have seen Alejandro Garnacho move the other way to Stamford Bridge.

    That deal never materialised in the winter window.

    Nkunku arrived at Stamford Bridge last season with high expectations following a prolific spell at RB Leipzig.

    However, his time in London has been plagued by injury and inconsistency.

    Despite returning to fitness, the 26-year-old has struggled to make an impact under Enzo Maresca.

    He has often found himself misprofiled in a system that revolves around Cole Palmer’s central influence.

    Nkunku’s best years came at Leipzig, where he thrived as a shadow striker.

    Typically operating in the number 10 role and making late, intelligent runs into the penalty area.

    At Chelsea, that role has largely belonged to Enzo Fernandez.

    Thus forcing Nkunku to adapt to positions where his qualities haven’t been fully utilised.

    It therefore comes as little surprise he has found it difficult to shine.

    Now Chelsea are ready to move him on.

    With United’s need for goals greater than ever, the links to Nkunku could easily resurface as the summer window approaches.

  • 18 UNIZIK Students Make First Class At Law School

    Eighteen students from Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, have emerged with First Class Honours in the recently released results of the Nigerian Law School’s 2025 Bar Finals Examination.

    According to the post on the institution’s website, the students include Ibe-Omodo Chioma, Ebubechi Bartholomew Okonkwo, Julius Chukwudi, Ebubechi Ifunanya Nnaji, Peace Udochukwu Onuigbo, Chinecherem Maureen Anatuanya, Wisdom Chibuike Oguguo, Obiajulu Leonard Okoli, Charles Olumba Stella Onyeka, Echefu Stellamaris Uchechukwu, Nwokocha Annastecia Chidinma, Obasi Sochima Evangeline.

    Others include, Ezeanyaso Tony Chinweitito, Nwabuzor Chioma Glory, Amanoh Chisom Goodness, Alagboso Daniel Ifeanyi, Anene Chinaza Peace, and Ifechukwu Praise Mmesoma.

    The institution noted that the achievement marks the highest number of First Class Honours recorded by its Faculty of Law, and is a testament to its commitment to academic excellence.

    The Dean of the Faculty of Law, Professor Felicia Ayaogu, expressed pride in the students’ achievement, attributing it to the dedication of the Faculty’s lecturers.

    “This is the true situation. Our students have made us proud, and we give all glory to God Almighty,” she said.

    She emphasized that the Faculty of Law has made deliberate efforts to cultivate an environment that fosters effective learning, teaching, and research.

    The Acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Joseph Ikechebelu, also commended the Faculty of Law for its stellar performance and reaffirmed the university’s commitment to producing globally competitive graduates.

    He congratulated the students on their achievement and assured them of the university’s continued support.

    To the clergy, monastics, and faithful of the Orthodox Church in America, beloved children in the Lord,

    Christ is risen! Indeed he is risen!

        

    . John of Damascus, the author of that canon, calls today “the feast of feasts,” and as we celebrate this feast of feasts, this first and greatest of feasts, we might ask a seemingly simple question: what are feasts, and why do we celebrate them? This question seems particularly appropriate as the world around us grows ever more chaotic and complex. In the midst of all the change and busy-ness, how can we spare the time just to celebrate and do nothing of use?

    Many of us are familiar with the Russian festal greeting, s prazdnikom. The key word here is prazdnik, the Russian word for feast or holiday, which derives in turn from the adjective prazdny, meaning “empty,” and hence “idle.” But this emptiness, or idleness, is not merely an expression of absence. The feast has positive content, but this content is not man-made: it is something made by God, something that our inaction allows us encounter and appreciate. Feasts are days on which we remain idle so that God can act; they are days that we empty of our own works so that we can fill them with the remembrance of the things of God: his deeds, his presence, his glory.

    After all, as the Lord says, the sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath (Mk. 2:27). We abused our freewill, sinned, and lost the continual enjoyment of God, instead being cursed to eat by the sweat of our brow (Gen. 3:19). But God, in his mercy, has given us the feast day, a day on which we are able to return to our Edenic state. We set aside the labor that is the result of our sin and, for a day at least, devote ourselves to true rest, to the one thing needful: worship in spirit and truth, whose hour is coming and now is (Lk. 10:42, Jn. 4:23). As we sang at the canon, the feast is the day on which we bless Christ forevermore.

    The feast day, in this way, becomes an icon of the deified person, filled with the divine energies—God’s activity, rather than his own. The saints empty their hearts, their lives, their being, of everything worldly and passionate so that God can dwell there as his holy temple. The feast is also thus an icon of the life to come, in which the elect will no longer know toil or care, but only the never-ending banquet of the kingdom, the ceaseless heavenly worship of the one God in Trinity.

    Thus, on this first of sabbaths, I pray that we might all set aside our Lenten labors and rejoice in the day which the Lord has made, Bright Sunday, his great and holy Pascha (Ps. 117:24). Following in the footsteps of our self-emptying Master, we worked for six weeks to cleanse our hearts and lives of everything unbefitting, not so that we could be empty, but so we could be filled, according to own measure and capacity, with the grace that Christ brings into the world through his life-creating Resurrection. Christ rested after his six days of labor, and now after our six weeks of Lenten work, he calls us to enter into his rest, to find our peace in him and the great salvation that he has wrought for us upon the Wood.

    Christ is risen, the Peace of God, the divine Peace himself, and so, in the midst of a busy and whirling world, we find everlasting peace on his feast of feasts. May the grace, peace, and joy of his Resurrection abide with all of you, always, now and throughout the ages to come.

  • Harvard sues Trump over US federal funding cuts

    Harvard University filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration on Monday, April 21, escalating the battle between the prestigious institution and the former president. 

     

    The University is challenging the administration’s attempts to withhold federal funding and impose political oversight on its operations, particularly related to its admissions policies, hiring practices, and political stance.

     

    The lawsuit, filed in a Massachusetts federal court, claims that the Trump administration’s actions violate both the First Amendment and federal laws. It describes the government’s efforts as “arbitrary and capricious” and argues that they represent an unlawful use of federal funding to influence academic decision-making at Harvard and other targeted universities. The lawsuit seeks to have the funding freeze and other imposed conditions on federal grants declared unlawful and to recover legal costs.

     

    The Trump administration has been engaged in a broader campaign against several elite universities, accusing them of tolerating anti-Semitism on campus. 

     

    This includes claims about protests against Israel’s war in Gaza, which the administration linked to anti-Semitic rhetoric. Harvard responded by disciplining students involved in those protests, including placing 23 students on probation and denying degrees to 12 others.

     

    Trump has publicly criticized Harvard, stating on his social media platform that the university is a “joke” that “teaches Hate and Stupidity” and should no longer receive federal funds. He has also frozen $2.2 billion in federal funding to the institution in retaliation for its refusal to accept government oversight.

     

    Harvard, in its lawsuit, affirmed its commitment to combating anti-Semitism and other forms of discrimination, stating that it is actively implementing reforms to address these issues. The lawsuit argues, however, that the administration’s blanket freeze on funding affects research unrelated to anti-Semitism, including medical, scientific, and technological studies.

     

    The Trump administration’s move comes amid ongoing tensions with academia over claims that universities are too left-leaning and favor minority groups in their programs. Harvard’s stance, particularly its refusal to accept government intervention in its academic independence, places it at the center of a larger debate about the role of politics in education and the autonomy of higher learning institutions.

The Thunderbolts Cup will be a Duos Battle Royale competition. If you’re not familiar with it, in this mode, players must pair up with a friend and queue for the game.

    There will be only build mode, so expect some drippy, sweaty lobbies. The competition lasts for three hours, so ensure you make the most out of it. Time zones will differ when the competition starts, so keep an eye on the competition tab. Also, remember that teaming up with other duos will result in a direct disqualification.     While Xiaomi made headlines by rolling out its major HyperOS 2.0 update to 116 devices in just six months, the follow-up—HyperOS 2.1—isn’t moving nearly as fast.     But it’s not all sunshine. Some models, like the Xiaomi Mi 11 series, POCO F4, and parts of the Redmi Note 12 family, won’t be moving beyond 2.0. These devices have reached the end of their official update lifecycle. And while they’ll continue functioning just fine, don’t expect any more major features coming their way.

  • Ebenezer Obey shuts down death rumours, says ‘he’s still alive and well’

    Legendary Nigerian juju musician Ebenezer Remilekun Aremu Olasupo Obey-Fabiyi, MFR, known professionally as Ebenezer Obey, has shut down rumours of his death.

    Obey-Fabiyi dismissed the claim with a rousing performance in a video posted Tuesday morning. While singing in Yoruba, English, and Pidgin, he described the news as untrue.

    In the social media video, the 83-year-old icon appeared energetic and bright, responding to erroneous claims with a musical performance.

    He said; “Hello, my name is Professor Ebenezer Obey-Fabiyi. Satan, you don lose o, Satan, you don lose o, you don pafuka. Na lie lie you dey talk, you don pafuka.”

    The veteran musician also issued a statement to his fans and the public: “It is fake news that started a few hours ago claiming that I, Evangelist Obey, have passed on to glory. It is a lie. I am alive, and that is not the word Jesus has written.”
