Manchester City was stunned by a ruthless Gunners who in front of the Home fans of Manchester City played a well compact and tiki taka football they are well known for. It was as though Manchester City as conceded the title race is over for them as they showed a lack luster in the first 45mins of a game heated with pace and power. Arsenal played like a wounded lion seeing the fact that a win should put them in a firm position for qualification for the Champions League next Season. Arsene Wenger was well pleased as He praised a “great unity, solidarity, togetherness and compactness in His team”.
Goals from Santi Carzola and Oliver Giroud gave Arsenal a 2-0 win at the Etihad in contrast to last season's 6-3 loss. Carzola 30 who was incredibly fantastic created Oliver Giroud goal with a well floated free kick into the penalty box after He scored a penalty and completed 92% of His passes almost looking unstoppable anytime He is on the counter attack with the ball. Arsene Wenger 65 was noted as saying “We answered doubts over our defence and ability to beat top clubs away from home “. Continued as He told BBC Radio 5 live “I am well pleased because our defence has been questioned alot “.
The win lifted Arsenal to fifth in the table a point off the Champions League places, five points behind league leaders Chelsea, who they meet at Stamford Bridge on the 31 January. And Manuel Pelligrin has hinted that the match against Chelsea is crucial to them. He went further to dismissed the fact that the absence of Yaya Toure was the reason for their for them been able to keep up with the pace for the title.
It should be noted City has not won any of their four premier league games this season in the absence of Kolo Toure.

Fact : 10 Sermons Most Young Ladies Hate
I have been to various Youths & Singles Programme in churches and
I noticed there are some sermons that will register discomfort and E no con-sign me on the faces of the ladiesTake A Glass Of Yobo Drink & Relax
10 Sermons Most Young Ladies Will Likely Turn Deaf Ears To
1. Do Not Have A Boyfriend
Haaaaaaaa
!!! This is a tough sermon oooo. I remembered vividly when we held
Youths & Singles Programme in my fellowship & the ladies were
advised not to have to boyfriend not until they are of marriageable age.
You just need to see the way the ladies were looking as if they should
grab the pastor and tear him to pieces2. Don’t Allow A Guy You Are Dating Hug You
Haaaaaa I bet many young ladies will not like to hear this.. The pastor says NO form of hugging is allowed because
her bosoms has activating
power that could activate thoughts of a average dude… Funny right ?3. Direct Your Toaster(s) To Your Pastor
So
many churches demand a lady directs her toaster(s) to the pastor for
assessment, that is, when a brother in the church approaches her, she
dare not show green light, kindly direct him to your pastor for
assessment. * ehhhnnn dis one use style hard oooo
.. I guess every lady will only be willing to inform her pastor when
everything is set but advising her to direct her toaster(s) to her
pastors is a NO NO for many young ladies4. Do Not Visit Any Guy You Are Not Married To
I
have also attended a Programme when the host (pastor) condemned the act
of a lady visiting her fiance. He urged them to meet him in the church,
eatery, or when a third party will be present, else they should not go
at all5. Take A Friend Along With Going To His House
This
sounds like the ladies are being protected from having sex with their
lovers. Some pastor preaches against going on a visit when he’s alone at
home because he believes it should be the best measures taken to curb
sex before marriage. This is most likely to go through the left ear
& pass through the right ear of our ladies6. Do Not Open Your Legs For Him
Since
sex is what some ladies use to tie their men down, it will pass through
the left eat and go out of the right ear the moment a pastor threatens
them to stop the act7. Do Not Wear Ear Rings
Most
ladies in churches will change their facial expression when a pastor
condemns the use of earringa at the expense of salvation. It takes a
personal decision to do away with earrings & jewelry. Therefore,
preaching against it will not enter the head of our ladies8. Do Not Wear Trousers
This
has been a serious debate for a long time. So many ladies don’t believe
wearing of trousers is a sin because there no Bible verse describing
how a man or a woman’s garment looks like9. Any Attachment To Your Body Is A Sin
Hiaaaaaaan
!!! No weavon, no make-up, no lipstick gloss.. 90% of Nigerian ladies
will turn deaf ear to such a sermon when they know that is what ignite
their beauty10. Don’t Not Consider Dating A Man Who Is Not Born Again
Let’s not deceive ourselves. What is the percentage of men who are genuinely born again ?
Ladies
will most likely turn deaf ears because they know it won’t be easy
& it might take them eternity searching born again dudes -
FACT -: SUCCESS OR FAILURE? Life Is Both Meaningless And Purposeless
By Shutdown BrownDeath and Meaning
In the next 100 years, none of you reading this post will be alive.
Life is so fleeting when one considers how short it can be.
Also consider that our galaxy is over 10 billion years old. We never get to even live a quarter of that time frame.
What really is the point of life if it ends all in death?
One lives all his or her life struggling to survive ie struggling to avoid death which will inevitably occur.
A medical student who was the best in his class throughout university died on his first day as a doctor.
You can work hard all your life and die the moment you want to reap what you have sowed.
===================================================
An animal life
What is the purpose of a fish? To be eaten by sharks and human beings? Just to live and die as food for other animals?
What is the purpose of a cat? To beg for milk and fish from humans? We can all agree that assigning a purpose to an animals life is ridiculous. Why then are humans exempt?
We
think we are special because we can reason. A dog looking at the moon
can not understand the significance of the lunar cycle. The same way we
can never understand the universe in its entirety. So how are we really
different? Our reasoning has limits. What if the purpose of life
is truly beyond our reasoning abilities? What if the minds of the gods
were meant for more evolved beings?========================================================================
Purpose and Religion
To
the religious people claiming that our purpose as humans to serve and
worship God, they should understand that it is not just true logically
if you consider the death of babies.Babies who die in the womb
due to natural/spontaneous abortions never get to worship God or even
develop the reasoning ability to understand any concept of God. Natural
abortions are the most common abortions that occur in millions every
year. Those babies that die in the millions do not get to worship God in their brief life. So, I ask again; what is the purpose of life? What exactly is God’s purpose for babies dying natural deaths in the womb?
What
is even the essence of religion? The way religion was practised in the
7th century is different from the one practised today. It all seems
arbitrary- religious doctrines sway to the interpretations of whichever
religious leaders are in power or the most vocal.Buddhism
promises some inner peace, Islam promises a total way of life for peace,
Christianity promises salvation, Paganism promises oneness with the
earth. But all these do not guarantee a better life on earth. You could
die the same day you convert to any of these religions. One can live a
fulfilled life without any of these religions.====================================================================
So what is your purpose in this life?
What exactly is your purpose?
1) To leave a legacy?
All
legacies get bastardized after a while. Jesus Christ is now popularly
known as a white Italian hippie. Whereas, in reality Jesus would have
been a dark skinned radical Jew.Worse, only few people get to
leave legacies. If you dont have money or power, you will die a nobody.
Afterall, even the few people that will remember you will die
eventually.2) To enjoy life to the fullest?
Hedonists usually
die quicker. What if you were born without legs or as a Siamese twin?
What then? You wouldnt be able to enjoy most sports. Most people will
treat you as a freak. Se.x or marriage partners would be harder to come
by. And so on.3) Religious devotion (to the afterlife)
Yes, the afterlife. A life after death that you have never seen and
cannot prove. A haven that you have been promised by religion but with
crazy standards to fulfil.
If preparing for heaven is the purpose of
life then, life is truly pointless. Why not just send us to heaven
directly? Why would we need to be tried and tested if God knows our
inclinations? What is the point in putting us in such a world where the
only the fittest survive? This life is such an unnecessary test if one
adheres to an all-knowing God. We are nothing but pawns in an eternal
chess game.4) I was born to be a leader/accountant/doctor
Hitler
could also claim that he was born to lead the Aryan race and
exterminate “rats” like the Jews. No one is born to be anything. We can
only prepare ourselves and our talents for a brighter future.
Wayne Rooney was also a talented boxer. Man chooses his destiny (at the discretion of fate).===================================================
What do I believe as the purpose of meaning of life?
Life
has no meaning. We only ascribe meaning to it because it is our human
nature to see patterns even where there are no patterns. The best we can do is give our lives meanings ourselves through the one factor that distinguishes us from animals- reasoning.
As
arbitrary as that sounds, reason and logic are the only effective tools
for understanding our universe and navigating it. A well reasoned life
is a better life.ADD ME ON FACE BOOK @ shutdown brown

POLITICS: Re: Your Excellency, Gov. Liyel Imoke, Calabar is Under Siege!
By Efio-Ita Nyok18 January 2015Recently, about a week or so ago, I published an article here, in the which, I drew the attention of my readers to an ugly trend in the very heart of the state capital, Calabar. I talked about, Scolombo, a set of juvenile delinquents who had decided to challenge the peace and tranquility Cross River, especially Calabar is reputed for.In this issue, I intend to make a rejoinder on the same subject, but this time around, addressing a more recent dimension surrounding this social malaise.Residents in Cross River especially those in Calabar the state capital have resorted to take laws into their hands as they have began to lynch members of the dreaded sect under review. It is this phenomenon that is informing my reaction. On Friday 16 January 2015, members of Scolombo, numbering 15 raided Abua street and adjoining streets like Edgerly, MacGregor, Bennett, and Edibe Edibe. The story has it that one of them carried a Plasma TV screen as they paraded their route, obviously this electronic appliance must have a booty of loot. However, when one of the onlookers recognised one of them behind and called on him, there was a ruse as it is said that the angry sect member brought out a gun to shoot at the dude who called his name. He must have wanted to punish him for identifying him in public! This, unknown to the sect member, was a bait, as youths of these areas where said to immediately respond by bringing out weapons which they used on the juvenile. Unknown to the public, these teens have resorted to diabolical means which make them immune to the effects of gun bullets, pressure from hard objects, etc. As the angry youths beat this unfortunate teen to pulp, the physical effect of that beating meant nothing to the sect member as he was heard to chant: ‘You never chi chomtin’ in mockery. He was then tied to Keke Napep, a popular tricycle for transportation in the state capital, and rode off, it made no meaning to him! This was when the frustrated crowd then decided, after having beaten him with wood to no effect. In the final analysis, he was burnt to death, after much effort to the contrary! While I do not legitimise the rancour, theft, maiming, embarrassments, fear, etc these delinquents have introduced into Nigeria’s ancient and most serene city, I still find it quite very difficult to sanction the act of private citizens taking the lives of fellow citizens. My argument is that, no matter the perceived crime, these deliquents are only suspects, they have not been pronounced guilty be any court of law in the state. The implications of our acts are these:
1. We violate the right to live of these unfortunate lots.
2. It does not speak of us as civilised individuals who have appropriate means of addressing crime in society.
3. It suggest that our government is not sensitive/responsible.With regards to the first, there is no provision of the constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria that legitimises murder, instead we all have the ‘right to live’. It is only the state which should legally take live irrespective of the quality of provocation, except in rare cases of self defence. Should this trend be left unchecked, then there is the tendency for it to be abused, with profound consequences.Secondly, there are institutions that are designated by law to deal with perpetrators of crimes. Accordingly, where private citizens are seen to be indulging in duties not sanctioned by the law, it speaks of disorder and anarchy. It suggest that there is no rule of law and proper organisation in such a society. Why would an individual resort to take the live of another human when there are institutions to address such? Why would not such a society apprehend such crime perpetrators and hand then over to security operatives? It suggest to me among others that, in this, we allow our emotions to prevail over our reasoning faculties; and it does not speak well of us.Finally, it tells of a government that is irresponsible/insensitive. I cannot still understand why a sets of teenagers would hold an entire society to ransom, spell bound and for months on end and the government cannot respond adequately to match the degree of disruption. Can some body tell me please!? For God sake, this is a state capital! Can the government of Cross River State, at its three tier, explain to citizens and residents of the state capital the reason for the passive demeanor on the recent security challenge? Why is Governor Liyel Imoke not reacting against Scolombo? At first, I drew our attention to these delinquents; now, I am telling us of the trend of a disappointed society taking laws into their hands, I don’t know what will follow and when, and to what degree. The essence of government is becoming elusive. It seems to me that the fourth republic in the era of President Goodluck Jonathan has the challenge of managing security. It has spilled over to the state governments. Maybe, this explain why the state government cannot deal with it. It may be a systemic failure.Be that as it may, I am charging security institutions to rise to the challenge of addressing this ugly phenomena, both the terror called Scolombo and the act of lynching them by private citizens. I specifically refer to the Department of State Security (DSS), Nigerian Police Force (NPF), and Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) -
RELATIONSHIP: Seek The Power Of Love And Not The Love Of Power 2
By Samuel Ekun
On seeking the Power Of Love or giving in to it one must be able to see the necessary ingredients to fuel or spice up the relationship.
On our tail end on the first phase of the Power Of Love, we outlined some traits that governs a successful relationship or the basis on which a growing relationship should survive. They are; Faithfulness, Truthfulness, Trust, Giving and Respect. Faithfulness is all about being loyal, adhering firmly to person or cause. Also reliable; worthy of trust.
Truthfulness is been honest and always telling the truth.
Trust is confidence in or reliance on some person or quality. Also dependence upon something in the future.
Respect is an attitude of consideration or high regard.
Giving implies been generous and meeting the needs of others.
Careful observation with keen interest one could observe that the foundation of the other recipe all rest on
Truthfulness. When one is honest and always telling the truth, you earn respect and trust. When a partner is asking you to trust Him or Her there must be a basis for you to do that. Watch out for the one who yells at you in public, watch out for the one who corrects you openly. In most cases they don’t have regard for you. If He or She is a short temper person who like throwing temper tantrums then tell Him or Her to grow up because they don’t deserve to be in a relationship.
Relationship with purpose and definition are not for growing up babies or toddlers. “WATCH OUT” for the one who always plays and treat you too nicely. Well appreciated but too often than not they usually do these to clear doubts of suspicion when they know they are cheaters. It’s what lead to heart break when someone you gave all your insecurities turned you down. Don’t just Love blindly, “Use your head to follow your Heart “.
When one is faithful, truthful and have the heart of giving, you earn respect and trust which is the chief cornerstone for a firm relationship.
“Being truthful requires you to be open minded. The ability to resolve difference amicably requires trust, understanding, respect and friendliness. Avoid frequent conflicts and always be open minded “.
The nitty gritty of relationship must not be neglected, the Purpose, Definition, Core values, Respect and Trust. Redefine your relationship and know where you stand. -
SPORTS: Manchester United Returns To Winning Ways
By Emmanuel Edet
Louis Van Gaal’s men travelled to Loftus Road earlier today for a premier league match against Queens Park Rangers, seven days ago they (United) allowed visiting Southampton to end their 10 matches unbeaten run by beating them 1 – 0.
Manchester United needed to grasp the maximum point in Loftus Road to keep alive their hope of finishing in the top 4, QPR are also lanquishing in the relegation zone, this defeat has put manager Harry Rednakpp’s future under threat.
The visitors also needed their third away win of the season and it went their way. Marouane Fellaini and James Wilson provided two unreplied goals for United to carry to the day. Marcos Rojo and Radamel Falcao returned to the starting line up for the visitors after missing the last week tie against Southampton in Old Trafford while Bobby Zamora and Nedum Onuha returned for the host.
Van Gaal’s men have really struggled with away matches this season but a win in Western London shows they are improving
