  • SPORTS: Chelsea Is Already Planning Post-Season Tour as Premeir League Champions

    -Jose Mourinho; source: Guardian

“If we win the title, I

    think we'll go on an

    after-season tour, play

    a couple of matches in

    some destination where

    people will be very

    enthusiastic to have the

    Premier League

    champions.”

    “It's something we are

    thinking about, a good

    way to celebrate. Not a

    victory parade but a

    trip, a week where we

    play a couple of

    matches but, at the

    same time, can be

    together without the

    pressure of winning

    every match, without

    the pressure and

    tension of the last

    weeks of the Premier

    League.”

    “We can also relax and

    go to holidays with that

    good feeling. But we still

    have nine matches to

    play. [The chairman]

    Bruce Buck and the

    board are talking with

    me about destinations.

    We want to go

    somewhere where

    people are enthusiastic

    to have a club like

    Chelsea.”

These sorts of things Just be planned ahead. They don't just happen

overnight, I suppose. Even last year, letters were sent to local

residents about a possible victory parade. And then Chelsea lost to

Sunderland. Liverpool also had planned an open-top bus parade before

not winning the Premier League title. I'm sure there are many more

such examples of putting the cart before the horse. It's a necessary

evil of living inorganized society. But now that it's out in public,

I guess we better make sure we do win it! That said, the rumors are of

a post-season tour of Japan (clad in Yokohama-branded gear from

head-to-toe, I'm sure), followed by perhaps a pre-season tour of the

USA. India had been rumored at one point for the summer of 2015, but

that seems to have fallen by the wayside.

In an email sent to reporters claiming responsibility for the bombing which occurred yesterday April 2nd, the spokesperson of the group, Priest Omodjuvwu, said the group, which consist of ex-militants, men, women & children of Urhobo origin, decided to blow up the oil pipeline following the continued neglect of the Urhobo militants in the pipelines protection contracts offered to ex-militants from other ethnic groups.

Spokesperson of the militant group, Mr Omdjuvwu said they decided to blow up the pipeline to draw government attention and demand to be included in the pipeline protection contracts.

  • SPORT: Mourinho Rues Out Surgery For Troubled Diego Costa Hamstring Injury

    By Ekun Samuel 3rd|April|2015
Chelsea Coach Jose Mourinho has rued out any form of surgery for Chelsea in form striker Diego ahead of the game against the visiting Stoke. Diego Costa was on the bench for the Euro qualifiers match against Ukraine which they won 2-0, and also left out on the bench with the friendly match against Netherland which they lost 2-0. Mourinho doesn’t believe surgery is the best way to approach the situation and said Chelsea approach has been the best way just as he is been used in the season so far, to work hard as he does in the season, in prevention to make the muscle stronger, but at the the same time elastic and flexible, as the Chelsea boss and his medical team believes surgery is the last resort for any injury. Chelsea boss made it clear that Diego Costa will be selected for the game at the weekend against Stoke City.
  • SPORTS: Mourinho On Costa's Injury

“Diego trained with the group. He's not injured. I don't know if I

    start with him or not.

“We did all the tests and the scans to confirm two days ago

scientifically the situation.. the muscle is fine.

“But football is more than that. You need confidence. You don't need

to break your intensity. That's our doubt. Let's see next 24 hours.

“I don't believe we will ever go in the surgery direction.

  • NEWS: Meet The Baby Born With No Eyes Photos

    By William Oyo-Ita 3 April 2015

Care worker Danielle Davis, 24, and her partner, Andrew Smith, 31, from South Wales  welcomed a daughter two months ago – a baby with no eyes. Danielle said she knew there was something horrible wrong with her child because a routine scan when she was pregnant showed her child had a cyst on the brain but she refused to have an abortion. After the child was born, doctors confirmed she had anophthalmia, a birth defect which affects just one in 10,000 babies.

“It was a shock – we had never heard of it before. But she is our gorgeous baby and we have no regrets about turning down a termination.” Danielle said

“We want to give Daisy as normal a life as possible and give her the same opportunities as other children. We had never heard of the condition before and neither had any of our friends or family. People didn’t really know what to say when we told them.

“The cyst showed up on the 21-week scan and naturally we were worried about it. But none of the doctors said our baby could be born blind. Everyone has been really supportive and I can’t thank the doctors and midwives enough for all of their help.”

Little Daisy will later this month go for an operation to fit glass eyes. And when she’s 18months old, they will be replaced with painted eyes that will look more natural.
