The Auditor role is integral to maintaining the highest standards of financial integrity, regulatory compliance and operational efficiency. The individual in this role will work closely with various departments to ensure that internal processes are robust, risk are mitigated, and that the bank adheres to both internal policies and external regulatory standards. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Regularly review and accesses the bank’s financial records, operational processes, and internal controls to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Identify areas of risks and inefficiency within bank’s processes and propose improvements to strengthen internal controls.
  • Document findings in detailed audit report that highlight discrepancies, risks, and actionable recommendations for management.
  • Verify that all banking activities conform to relevant laws, regulations and internal policies.
  • Serve as the primary contact for external auditors by providing necessary documentation and clarification during audit processes.
  • Follow up on audit recommendations and ensure that identified issues are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Assist in developing policies and procedures that enhance the overall audit process and operational risk management. 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related fields.
  • A minimum of 2 years of audit and internal control experience, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.
  • Professional certification such as Certified Internal Audit (CIA), ACCA, or ICAN is highly desirable.
  • Excellent analytic and critical-thinking skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Familiarity with audit software and and proficiency in Microsoft software applications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively present audit findings and recommendations.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
