Asu set to shutdown Companies operating in CRS with poor Local Content

Comrade Asu Okang Honourable Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development Cross River State in an emphatic move for youth involvement in business and unemployment reduction in the State had announced through a press brief in his Micheal Ani office yesterday 7th June 2018 of his planned move to shut down companies rated poor or who have been found wanting against the CRS Law for Local Content and corporate social responsibility, enacted by the State House of Assembly.
Pointedly, he noted that the trend of restiveness amongst young people which have culminated into social unrest is majorly propelled by lack of engagement.

Clearly, our youth need some form of engagement and we can no longer tolerate companies that neglect local content.

If you can’t take youths from other region for granted, then why ride on CRS Youth?

Notwithstanding the local content, he also stressed the need for companies to live up to their obligations of Corporate Social Responsibility, which he observed as a catalyst for social engagement capable of delineating societal vices that may arise in such a volume as noticed recently.

He assured of his undeterred wits to shut down business for companies found wanting and unrepentant.
