Responsibilities and Duties
- Inspect and assess outdoor power products for issues and defects
- Diagnose mechanical problems and determine the best course of action for repair
- Perform repairs and adjustments on lawnmowers, chainsaws, brush cutters, etc. to ensure they are functioning properly
- Conduct routine maintenance on equipment to prevent future issues
- Test equipment after repairs to ensure it is working correctly
- Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed
- Provide guidance and advice to customers on how to properly maintain their equipment
Qualifications and Skills
- Matric / Grade 12
- Previous experience as a service technician
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of lawnmower, chainsaw and brush cutter maintenance and repair techniques
- Certification in lawnmower, chainsaw and brush cutter repair (advantageous)
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and perform physical tasks as needed
- Comfortable working in various weather conditions and outdoor environments
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills and customer service abilities
- Ability to function in a team environment
- Honest and reliable
- Hard working and diligent
