Apparently in response to SonicFox saying they’re A+ tier
Fighting games have always been a great way to break down barriers and build bridges between people from all walks of life from basically anywhere on Earth, and even the highest level pros still take part in the fun of the community.
TM|Arslan Ash and DRX|Knee, two of the greatest Tekken champions recently shared a fun short video of them casually hanging out and calling a certain Tekken 8 character “trash.”
The clip seems to have been made in joking response to another multi-game champion, SonicFox, going in online about how this fighter is high tier and maybe even A+ worthy.
If you couldn’t tell by the banner, this character is Zafina, who Arslan Ash had quite the competitive history with in Tekken 7.
“No need to play Zafina,” jokes Knee. “Just say this is trash.”
The triple crown champ Arslan responds while laughing that she’s “worse than trash” as they’re sitting down to play some casuals apparently after their exhibition feature match against each other at the Middle East Film & Comic Con in Abu Dhabi last night.

As far as we can tell, there was no available live stream of the set, but it looks like Knee came out on top of this match up.
“I have my work cut out for me then,” posted SonicFox in response to the video.
They don’t go into detail as to why they think Zafina is “trash” in Tekken 8, but the biggest complaint we’ve been seeing about her is a lack of damage output and lacking a bit in the frame data department compared to her Tekken 7 iteration.
Zafina was almost at the very bottom of the first pro Tekken 8 tier list we’ve seen too along with the bears and Leroy, so we’ll see if that remains true.
Arslan and SonicFox also got into some friendly ribbing on X/Twitter over the power level of Zafina with the NetherRealm, Dragon Ball FighterZ and Skullgirls champion asked for some time to put up some results with her.
It’s also just kinda nice to see two legends from different parts of the world chilling out together after a heated exhibition against one another because that’s what we do here in the FGC no matter where we are.
Do you think Zafina is weak, or is there more exploration that needs to be done before giving a full verdict.
