UEFA carried out the Champions League quarter-final, semi-final, and final draw on Friday morning, and things couldn’t have gone much worse for Manchester City.

Man City’s Champions League Draw: Bayern Munich and potential semi-final opponents

In the quarter-finals, City have drawn Bayern Munich, who are always a tough opponent. Pep Guardiola’s side would then face either Chelsea or Real Madrid in the semi-finals, depending on who wins.

After demolishing RB Leipzig in the last round, City are unlikely to get such an easy ride in their next couple of Champions League ties, which could help Arsenal.

City’s Champions League fixtures are sandwiched in around Premier League games, and Guardiola may end up having to rotate between the competitions.

Arsenal’s Advantage: Europa League exit could help Their title race

Meanwhile, Arsenal’s elimination from the Europa League means they’ll get those same midweeks off.

Whilst it’s disappointing to be out of the competition, it should certainly help the team to focus.
