Following a break from Premier League 2 action for the international fixtures and a couple of cup clashes, the Arsenal u23s will try to reclaim top spot in the division with a win over Liverpool on Saturday.
The game was originally scheduled to take place at Liverpool’s academy ground, but it’s now been moved to Anfield. We should find out more about ticket availability in due course.
Arsenal are currently second in the PL2 behind Manchester City, just one point and two goal difference off the top.
A draw wouldn’t quite be enough to displace City ahead of their match against Leicester City later in the day, but a win would certainly put the pressure on.
Liverpool have a pretty good record for streaming youth fixtures at Anfield, in my experience. They broadcast the FA Youth Cup clash with Arsenal earlier this year, so it’s very possible they put on a stream for this Saturday’s game too, but not yet confirmed.
The biggest potential obstacle is that Liverpool are playing Watford in the Premier League at 12:30 BST that same day, and clubs tend to be less likely to stream youth games on the same day as first-team matches. So we’ll see.
