Efio-Ita Nyok|9 October 2016

Achievers Wisdom House, a non-profit, non-governmental organisation designated to leadership capacity building among Nigerian teenagers and youths yesterday made a press release in view of the DSS raid of Supreme Court Justices. Ultimately, AWH has condemned what it refers to as the unlawful treatment of an independent arm of government. Excerpt:

*Change Begins with me

Last night, the tyrancy and dictatorship of the Buhari/APC led Federal Government was once again brought to the fore.

News has it that men of the DSS raided the houses of and abducted some Supreme Court judges in various cities of Nigeria. In some of the houses, sledghammers were used to breakdown walls inorder to gain access into the houses.

This criminal acts and unlawful way of arresting citizens is totally unacceptable. It is unconstitutional to arrest a sitting judge talkless of abducting a sitting judge of the Supreme Court of Nigeria by night with Illegal weapons.

Buhari has for the umpteen time loudly told Nigerians and indeed the international community that he has no respect for the rule of law and seperation of powers of the various arms of Government.

Some months ago, PMB was lamenting that the judiciary is standing on his way in the fight against corruption. One is now forced to ask, Is this how he wants to remove the judiciary off his way in the against corruption?

Since its inception, the APC led Federal government have been bent on having direct unconstitutional control over the other arms of Government.

It is on this note that we want to sound it loud that Nigerians are not fools nor cowards. Buhari is deliberately taking us back to 1984 dictatorshp rule and truth is we shall vehemently revolt. We are tired of dictatorship.

Nobody is above the law, if anybody is percieved to be corrupt, that person should be allowed to face the law following due constitutional process.

Unlawfull arrest, abduction and detaining of citizens even when they have been granted bail by conpetent courts of law.

Achievers Wisdom House strongly and vehemently condem this Babaric, inhuman and unconstitutional acts. Let change truely begin with our president and APC.
