Army storms 2 cultists' camps and killed 5 in the process in Rivers State; People's wish for Calabar

The increase rate of cultism in the south-south and other part of Nigeria is becoming alarming as many do ask why people will involve themselves in such evil act.

Yesterday was declared war Calabar, mostly the south where even police couldn’t curtail the cannibalistic groups as trail the city. An eyewitness sent us a warning and an alarming message which was published on our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/calabarreporters.
The warning message reads:

“Tonight is declared “RED NIGHT” by the members of both rival cults in Calabar…
The police only got a distress signal and tried to intervene but from my assessment the Trucks and police personnel deployed won’t salvage de situation…
The boys have infiltrated everywhere with heavy looting and raping and maiming of innocent citizens alongside their rampage….
Please endeavor to alert anyone you know who is not aware or is still outside after 8pm to get indoors or at least to a safer place…

While in Port Harcourt yesterday, a statement released by the brigade’s assistant Director Public Relations, Captain Eli Lazarus, said five suspects were killed during the operation, while 26 mobile phones and 2 pump action guns were recovered.

“He promised the public his assurance that the current operation against cultists and other criminals would be sustained to safeguard lives and property of all.
“Therefore, all law abiding and peace loving people of Rivers State are enjoined to provide security agencies with timely and accurate information that would help to arrest criminals in the State,” the statement read.

The places where the incident took place were Iba and Obelle communities in Emouha Local Government Area of the Rivers State.

People are beginning to question why not do the same in Calabar.
