Are you selling the Presidency? Garba slams APC over cost of form

The All Progressives Congress, APC, has recently disclosed that the party’s presidential nomination and expression of interest forms, would cost those interested in the presidency under its platform, a staggering N100 million.

It is unclear whether or not, slapping that huge price tag on the forms is an indrect way of discouraging certain persons from joining the race, while favoring the few politicians who can afford it.

Whatever the reason behind the move though, one presidential hopeful, who seeks to run for the presidency under the APC, Adamu Garba, has called the move outrageous, and called on Nigerians to condemned it.

Garba who made the call in a tweet, claimed spending that huge amount of money is like outrightly buying a political office in the country. This development according to him, is in favor of ‘moneybags’ politicians who are known for using their financial muscles to buy their way into power.

He wrote, “If we don’t come together and use our collective power to save this country from the strangulation of the moneybags, we are doing a great disservice to our generation and that of the future.

“We cannot continue to buy political offices in Nigeria, we need competent leaders come 2023.”
