Principal Functions:
- The Architect (Designer and 3D Visualizer) is a creative professional responsible for translating conceptual designs into visually stunning 3D renderings and animations.
- They work closely with the design team to bring architectural concepts to life, offering clients a clear and immersive understanding of the project vision.
Duties:
Design Concept Development
- Collaborate with the design team to conceptualize and develop architectural designs that meet client requirements.
- Create initial sketches and models to represent the overall design intent.
- Experiment with materials, lighting, and textures to enhance the visual appeal of designs.
- Ensure that designs meet both aesthetic and functional requirements.
3D Visualization and Rendering
- Produce high-quality, photorealistic 3D renderings of interior and exterior spaces.
- Develop architectural walkthroughs, animations, and virtual reality experiences to showcase designs.
- Ensure renderings align with the project’s functional and aesthetic requirements.
- Produce realistic renderings and animations to effectively visualize design concepts.
Presentation Preparation
- Create visually engaging presentations for client meetings, project proposals, and marketing purposes.
- Collaborate with the graphics team to produce design boards and layouts for presentations.
- Prepare and deliver design presentations to clients and stakeholders, effectively communicating design intentions.
Software Proficiency
- Use industry-standard 3D software such as SketchUp, 3ds Max, V-Ray, Lumion, Revit, or Enscape to create detailed models and renderings.
- Stay updated on new software and tools to improve productivity and visualization quality.
Collaboration
- Work closely with lead architects, engineers, and project teams to ensure designs are feasible and meet technical requirements.
- Incorporate feedback from stakeholders into designs and visualizations.
Time and Resource Management
- Prioritize multiple visualization tasks across projects to meet tight deadlines.
- Manage software and hardware resources effectively for rendering and visualization tasks.
- Conduct site visits to gather information and assess project conditions as needed.
- Participate in client meetings, site meetings, workshops, and brainstorming sessions.
Qualifications/Skills and Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in 3D visualization and architectural rendering.
- Proficiency in CAD tools like AutoCAD and Revit.
- Strong understanding of architectural detailing and construction documentation.
- Ability to interpret and translate design concepts into technical drawings.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
