Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics digital version is scheduled to be released on September 12, 2024 for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Those waiting on the physical version of the game will have to wait until November 22.
Regardless, it would appear that many other outlets and content creators received early review copies of the Marvel vs. Capcom Collection prior to the big release day. Needless to say, these reviewers have let the internet know whether or not this collection of games holds up today.
GameSpew ended up giving the best review for the MvC Collection with a perfect 10 out of 10 score. Various other sites like Nintendo Life, Noisy Pixel, PlayStation Universe, and many others gave the collection a 9 out of 10.
Some of the criticisms for the collection note the lack of crossplay, a disappointing single quick-save slot, and a few options that feel too “bare bones” for a collection. Overall, however, the collection is receiving quite a bit of praise.
It would seem that Justin Wong, Rooflemonger, and Tyrant of the FGC also got their hands on early copies. As such, they’ve each done a quick overview of what the collection entails.
