It is being reported that the release date for Marvel and Capcom’s upcoming compilation Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics has leaked.
A retailer in the UK appears to have unveiled the specific date in their pre-order listing for the title before removing it. If this listing is to be believed, fans can expect to get the game this November.
The Gamer reported that the release date leak came from a retailer called ShopTo. This listing is still active now and shows the PlayStation 4 version of the game, its price, and launch info that at the time of writing this reads “Release date to be confirmed.”
However, internet sleuth’s have already grabbed screenshots of the ShopTo listing before it was corrected. As seen below, the supposed leaked release date for Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics is November 22, 2024.
With this leak happening just days away from Gamescom 2024 and its Opening Night Live ceremony, where a lot of big gaming announcements are sure to happen, it’s likely that this release date was originally set to be revealed during the show.

The upcoming compilation is set to include the following seven titles:
• X-Men: Children of the Atom
• Marvel Super Heroes
• X-Men vs. Street Fighter
• Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter
• Marvel vs. Capcom
• Marvel vs. Capcom 2
• The Punisher
Street Fighter 6’s producer Shuhei Matsumoto, who is also working on this compilation, recently said in an interview that Capcom hopes to introduce a lot of new players to these classic fighting titles with the upcoming compilation. Depending on how it performs and the interest it garners, we could eventually see a new Marvel vs. Capcom game developed at some point, the developers have said.
Fortunately, the Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics compilation is already doing well as it recently topped sales charts prior to an official release date being revealed.
