Back in June, the Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics was revealed during the last Nintendo Direct. The collection will become available for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Steam sometime in 2024, though an exact date has not been officially revealed just yet.
Earlier today, Nintendo revealed plans for tomorrow’s Indie World Showcase followed by Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase. The livestream is scheduled to begin at 7:00 a.m. PT / 10:00 a.m. ET and run for about 40 minutes in total.
Capcom has a couple of games that are coming out for the Nintendo Switch. More specifically, they’ve already announced the Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics and Ace Attorney Investigations Collection, so they’ll probably have additional details to share about those games during tomorrow’s Partner Showcase.
Needless to say, it’s highly likely that Capcom will be ready to reveal the release date for the Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics, since we still don’t have an exact date. Capcom is likely choosing to use Nintendo’s platform to unveil this information due to the success the announcement trailer had last time.
Of course, it’s worth mentioning that a leak on Shopto has seemingly already listed the anticipated versus series collection as having a release date of November 22, 2024. Shortly after this was spotted, the listing was updated to remove that specific date.
Should the leak be true, then we’ll probably officially know that Capcom will be ready to release on November 22. However, there’s always a possibility that the game gets scheduled for another day instead.
We’ll just have to see how things play out tomorrow.
