Guilty Gear Strive is going strong into its third season and will soon be crowning its next world champion later this month.
The current point leader for the Arc World Tour 2023, who’s already won multiple qualifying events as well, FLY|TempestNYC shared his current tier list for Strive ahead of the finals event.
According to his rankings, there’s currently seven fighters strong enough to be in the S tier including some familiar faces like Sol, Ramlethal, Leo, and May, but also some interesting additions in Sin and Goldlewis.
Happy Chaos, once often considered the best in the game, is at the bottom of the tier below the top with TempestNYC feeling he’s still very strong though the magic man with a gun because there’s other characters who can just flat out win matches with fewer hits and interactions compared to Season 2.
In his post, he also states that every fighter in the A+ or higher category is good enough to win a super major without too much match up dodging, which still leaves nine characters below that threshold.
That being said, however, he says that no one on the roster is currently bad besides Johnny and Zato-1.
Interestingly, TempestNYC has Elphelt in the bottom five as well even though he did use her in winners and grand finals at Frosty Faustings XVI just over a month ago where MR|Umisho would ultimately take the win.
You can check out TempestNYC’s fully ordered tier list for Guilty Gear below, and we’ll see how this pans out at the Arc World Tour Finals taking place March 21–23 where the next DLC character will be playable (and was recently teased in a silhouette).
